"Three Minutes in Judy Garland's House"
It's June 13, 2018. Two years ago, I found myself, quite by chance, taking photographs and recording audio at the Judy Garland House in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. That night, 50 people were killed in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
For me, the coincidence was uncanny. It's a well-worn trope to say that gay men love Judy Garland, and I almost hate to make such a clichéd connection. Having lived near San Francisco, however, and with a dear friend who loves the Wizard of Oz, I just can't help it.

Circlecenter Spring Gathering -- Sat. May 19th San Rafael

Hi Friends,

Im calling together a gathering of great people on Saturday, and you are invited!

Circlecenter is 16+ years into a 30-year unfolding, and so many great projects, events and people have passed through the many spaces we have held. Many of you have advanced in your work and projects, and I also have advanced in the vision of the evolving landscape.

Im calling the circle to share the next steps in that vision, and to invite you to share with the group what you have been up to lately. It will be good to see how the connected pieces of our world continue to grow and fit together.

Location: 703 Third St. Upstairs, San Rafael, CA (now called The Hive)
Date & Info: Saturday May 19th. No cost. Friends welcome.

Agenda:
3-5pm for short presentations (10 mins) of you sharing your updates on projects or visions. Please email if you would like to be one of these.
5pm Tea & drinks
6pm Circle & Matthews presentation
730pm Food (food provided, please RSVP, and you are invited to bring items to add to the feast)
830pm onward, Socialize, small group conversations, and music.

Additional Updates: We recently opened the 8th Circlecenter space, in November in Ashland Oregon, the first one outside of Marin. Plus, as you may know, the San Rafael Circlecenter space is now called the Hive, held by Kim Kuznic. Circlecenter will continue to be a pillar there and the Hive will be a Hub in our network. Also, Jonathan will be in town this weekend and will preside over festivities :-)
