Matrix Parents is a program of the Marin Center for Independent Living (Marin CIL). Matrix provides parent-to-parent support, information, resources, and training to families whose children may learn or develop differently from others. We serve families in Marin, Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties. Call our Helpline: 800.578.2592 to speak with a Parent Advisor. Helping all families who have a child with disabilities from birth to age 26. Collaborating with professionals on behalf of children with disabilities. Building Partnerships with businesses and friends to support our families in inclusive communities. Common Ground Society’s SibShops (sibling support) Meetup!

Description: Common Ground Society SibShops is a group specifically designed for 7 – 17 year old kids that have a sibling with disabilities.

Our goal is to serve families and that includes making sure everyone feels supported. Tayler Hockett and Bella Martinez will be facilitating the group, both have experience in education, and facilitating groups

Parents, you can expect to drop off your kiddo knowing they have a place of their own and kids- you can expect to meet other kids like you, and have fun. Please list any allergies your sibling may have so we can make appropriate accommodations.

Feel free to reach out to Tayler at [email protected] with any questions about the group, Sibs Shops, logistics or anything else. Our goal is to make sure all kids and parents feel welcomed, supported and ready to come back the following month.

Common Ground Society’s Sunday Neurodivergent Mixer (ages 16+)

Description: Come join us for a fun-filled evening of games and activities catered to neurodiverse individuals. This event aims to create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can participate and have a great time. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to connect!

This event is for those who want to make friends and would like an environment where social pragmatics and/or anxiety are supported.

The event is held in a semi-private room.

Participants are welcome to attend independently or with support—whatever works best for them. Volunteer hosts facilitate the group, but one-to-one support is not available. Please note that any caregiver or support person attending must also register for their own separate ticket.
