Agape Farmhands, formed in 2022 as a Section 501(c)

(3) non-profit, provides funding, oversight and support to Agape Farms. Located outside of the small city of Salima in Malawi, Africa, Agape Farmhands provides the various programs and grows crops and raises animals to support its work and teach agricultural skills. Agape Farmhands works closely with local communities, who actively participate in all the decisions about the programs. Most of the staff are from the local area, speak the language, and have a deep understanding of the local context. The programs include (1) Our Goats For Girls Child Education program serves high school aged girls. The goal of this program is to equip each girl with the skills and tools necessary to finish school, secure reliable incomes, support herself and her family, and, ultimately, escape poverty; (2) In our Early Childhood development center, we support preschool aged children by providing necessary services for their childhood development including food and lessons; (3) In our Lighthouse for Children program, we provide wrap-around services for primary school grades 1-8 including food, hygience, tutoring and emotional support. All the children on pur programs are extremely poor and may be orphaned and/or raised by other family members, primarily older siblings.
