Pedro Pet Pals We are a non-profit organization, run by a team of volunteers.

An animal nonprofit providing services & supplies to pets in our community via Hyla's Heart to Home Cat Lounge, low-cost spay/neuter opportunities, & supporting local animal shelters. Pedro Pet Pals supports our local animal shelters with adoptions,medical equipment, and much needed supplies that the city can not afford to provide. Pedro pet pals is also committed to the community by providing fre

e spay/neuter programs, vaccines and micro chipping as well as low cost vet care. We are dedicated to community outreach and provide education and wellness direction for pet owners. Pedro Pet Pals comes to the rescue and are committed to providing comfort and support to help wayward animals in the Los Angeles area.

Adopt Mary 🐾🐈

Mary has spent much of her young life surviving. After being abandoned while pregnant, losing her kittens, and battling a painful medical condition called mastitis (infection and swelling of the breasts due to not nursing while lactating), she found herself scared, uncomfortable and unsure of the world around her.

Mary was placed in a loving foster home where she was treated medically, but then started to lose her hair. 😅 Her foster learned that she had mites on top of everything else! But after two weeks of antibiotics, Mary started to turn the corner! 🙏🏼

As she began to heal, her personality really blossomed. She loved playing with toys, getting belly rubs, and watching the other cats in her foster home, curious about the world around her. 🐈‍⬛

When her foster had to leave town, Mary came to our facility and found the transition difficult. But with patience and a quiet space of her own, she slowly settled in, gained some weight and grew a thick and silky coat! Now she’s ready for the one thing she’s still missing: a forever home. 🏡🩵

Mary’s perfect match is someone who will give her the time, love and all the reassurance she needs to feel safe. In return, she’ll reward you with loyalty and infinite love and happiness. 💋

She has overcome so much and is ready for a fresh start. Could you be the happy ending she’s been waiting for? 👀 Come meet Mary at our cat lounge in downtown San Pedro! She is currently upstairs in the Penthouse, so when you visit us this weekend between 12-5 p.m., just ask one of our volunteers to take you up there to spend some quiet alone time with her. 😻❤️

Stella is ready for her next adventure... Could it be with you? 🐾

💕 At 1.5 years old and 50 lbs, this energetic girl is looking for an active family to keep up with her zest for life. After surviving life as a stray and being rescued just in time from euthanasia from Harbor Shelter, she's making the most of her second chance.

💕 Stella loves to stay busy and would do best in a home without small animals due to her prey drive.

Adopt a Pet, Save a Life 🛟🐾

This weekend, we’ll be hosting TWO mobile adoption events with dogs and cats hoping to find the one thing they’ve been waiting for: a loving forever home! 🏡🎉

🐾 Our kitten adoption event/dog Foster Frolic is taking place on Saturday at Eastview Park to showcase some of the sweet dogs and cats currently in foster through Pedro Pet Pals. Thanks to their foster families, they’ve had the chance to heal, grow and develop into their truest selves outside of a shelter environment. Welp, it’s high time to trade in those temporary homes for permanent ones!

🐾 On Sunday, we will be at PetSmart Downey with some of Downey Animal Care Center’s precious adoptable shelter dogs. They all carry a background we will never fully know or understand, but each of them deserves a future filled with love, safety and happiness. 🥹 These dogs are sadly running out of time through no fault of their own. Meet them at PetSmart Downey and be the reason they make it out!

Oh, we love updates! 💖

🐾 Olivia was a cat lounge favorite thanks to her sweet and affectionate purrsonality and beauty queen status! 😻 One of our volunteers (and cat foster mom supreme), , met Olivia and knew it was simply meant to be. She had this to share!

📣 "Olivia was a foster fail but it was love at first sight. I ride my Vespa into the patio one night for my shift and my headlight shone into the lounge window. She stared at me right into my soul. I said who is that gorgeous gal?!

She's the most vocal cat I've ever known. She insists I hold her while I'm making my coffee in the morning. Ha! She loves to curl up on my lap. Very, very cuddly. She occasionally gets a burst of energy to play with a fuzzy ball or catnip pillow, but she's mostly a couch potato." 📣

Adopt Misty 💖

🐾This little lady is about a year old and can be identified by her unique tri-colored coat. She is very chatty and affectionate, definitely the type to want to hear all about your day and then tell you all about hers LOL.

🐾 She was previously adopted and sadly returned through no fault of her own. There was another cat with her (lounge cat Gracie) so it is best if she has another cat-friendly companion in her new forever home. The two are nice with each other but not bonded.

😻 This loving and sweet young lady would make any household a home. She is spayed, vaccinated, and ready to be your new best friend.

💋Fall in love with Misty at Hyla's Heart to Home Cat Lounge in downtown San Pedro! We are open on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
