one gown at a time.

Maria’s Closet was inspired by one young woman in need of a dress to attend her prom. Ronna was introduced to Gillian by her counselor and she was able to donate the perfect dress for her. The minute Ronna saw her beaming, confident smile on prom day, she was instantly hooked. "We knew that the small strides we had been making with our local girls the last 3 years needed to be launched at a much larger scale....Maria's closet was born!"

Still soaking in the beauty of our 2026 Big Give ✨

What an unforgettable day serving 400 amazing girls from across Los Angeles County. From the moment the doors opened, the room was filled with joy, confidence, laughter, and so much love.

Watching each girl find the dress that made her light up reminded us why community matters so deeply. These moments are bigger than dresses — they’re about confidence, belonging, encouragement, and reminding young women that they are seen, valued, and celebrated.

To every volunteer, donor, stylist, glam team, school partner, supporter, and helping hand that made this event possible: thank you for pouring your heart into this mission. This is what real community impact looks like 💕

And to the girls we had the privilege of serving — never forget how powerful, beautiful, and worthy you are. Your smiles filled every corner of the room and left a lasting mark on all of us.

This past week we were able to make some JUNIOR high DREAMS come true by donating some of our short gowns to 💛

Dana Middle School has a great resource called “The Giving Room”, which supports their students in need.

We were so happy to fill their racks with special occasion dresses so that they can provide an additional resource to their students 🫶

Supporting young people takes a village and we are happy to do what we can to empower them in any way we can 💖👗

A huge thank you to for selecting Maria’s Closet as one of their 2026 donation recipients 💖 what a privilege and honor to be supported by an organization that is rooted in supporting women & children. Your donation will help impact so many young women - ones we haven’t even had the privilege of meeting yet.

But that’s the power of Maria’s Closet. One day we are reading an essay, then we are meeting a young girl for the first time, and then we are watching them go into their futures and thrive.

is a perfect example of that ✨ from getting her prom dress at our BIG GIVE to winning a Maria’s Girls Scholarship to now finishing her second year at UCLA… we’ve gotten to watch her grow and thrive, and it’s been an honor to do so.

Our 2026 MARIA’S Girls Scholarship WINNERS 🎓💖 we had the honor of awarding $20,000 in scholarships this week to a group of incredibly inspiring young women. We got to celebrate them, surprise them, and talk to them.

One of the things we love most about our scholarship ceremony is the one-on-one time we get with our girls and their families. It’s a chance to hear their life story & goals straight from them - not just in an essay. It’s a chance to remind them how powerful advocating for yourself and your dreams can really be.

It is a night that is all about them ✨

What a privilege it is to be able to impact our girls in this way… thank you to our sponsors & community who helped make it possible!

We had a lot of proud parents, guardians, loved ones and mentors with us for our scholarship ceremony 💖

It didn’t take long to realize that the night wasn’t just for our girls, but for them… the ones who have been there all along.

From our big give to our scholarship ceremony, we have learned that our Maria’s Closet events don’t just mean a lot to our girls, but to all the people in their life who are rooting for them too. The ones who want to see them feel beautiful, see them succeed, see them shine…

It was beautiful to watch so much pride and love exist in one room ✨
