Our visit started with Father Greg Boyle leading the morning meeting, a reminder of what it means to build a culture rooted in radical kinship. Then, Anthony took us on a tour and shared his own journey through the Homeboy program. His story, and the fact that 65% of Homeboy’s senior staff are program graduates, speaks towards what this organization has built.

Homeboy Industries is proof that social enterprise can change lives from the inside out. We are grateful for the chance to learn from them and encourage you to check out Homegirl Cafe 🌟

Net Impact took an educational boat tour of the Port of Los Angeles — the busiest seaport in the Western Hemisphere. We explored the Outer Harbor and heard directly from port staff about international supply chains, sustainability initiatives, and what it takes to run an operation of this scale. A huge thank you to Brittney Ford for hosting us and sharing your expertise — this kind of access is exactly what makes these events so valuable.
