A fun and educational outing to consider for your Troop!

The Japanese American National Museum is offering free admission to all active Girl Scouts, Leaders, and accompanying family members during the month of May.

Click the link below to get your tickets online and use the code GIRLSCOUTS.

You can also identify yourself as a Girl Scout by wearing your uniform! Their online system only allows for 6 tickets to be purchased at a time. For larger parties, consider going in person or making multiple online orders using the same code.

Dreams take flight at Torrance exhibition of pioneering female pilots! Great opportunity for our Girl Scouts!

The Women in Aerospace exhibit at the Western Museum of Flight celebrates female aviators — and seeks to inspire new generations.

The latest exhibit at Torrance’s Western Museum of Flight proves, once and for all, that a woman’s place is in the sky.

The museum recently celebrated the grand opening of its Women in Aerospace exhibition, which showcases more than 100 years of female aviation history and seeks to inspire more women to pursue careers in aerospace.

The museum is open Friday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 3315 Airport Drive in Torrance.

More interesting facts about our founder to share with your girls.

Time for another show-stopping ! Located in our dining room is a collection of china plates hand-painted by Juliette Gordon Low. Under Edward Lycett, the best-known porcelain painter in the US at the time, she became proficient in painting on Limoges china. Juliette also studied under Charles Volkmar, a porcelain painter known for his nature and countryside scenes. A popular hobby for women of Juliette's time and class, plates like these would arrive blank ready for decoration. Juliette's plates depict different hunting scenes and showcase her favorite animal– birds!
