Surviving Obesity Nonprofit Organization Surviving Obesity is a nonprofit organization under the 501c3 name of Mr. & Mrs. MR & MRS FITNESS CENTER
Mr. & Mrs Fitness Center was created over a year ago.

Fitness Center.(name change still pending) Our mission is fight obesity in families throug sharing our journey, providing education and donation to support good health. Their goal at that time was just to inspire others to become healthy by simply watching them and then joining them. Mrs. Tockqua Center a two time breast cancer survivor and epileptic admits that she became obese in her early teena

ge years. "Being a survivor of childhood molestation and teenage rap cause me to just not care about my body, I became bigger and bigger and found that I felt safe in that space" She credits her husband that she met in 2010 (Mr. Center) for providing a different type of "safe space" "He came in and cleaned out our cabinets, took out all the fructose and introduced our household to the fruit bowl that we like to call our household candy jar"

This allowed her to lose 70lbs between 9/2012-6/2013 and another 50lbs by 7/2014. Mr. Center lost almost 40lb the last 3 months of 2014 and their teenage daughter dropped 20lbs and that dreadful title "borderline diabetic" "Childhood obesity starts with our parents, says Imani their daughter. If there was more teaching and less judging parents or assuming every parent knows better I believe there would be a lot less obese families overall"

Imani also stated "If we really want to win the war against childhood obesity start with providing free information and making it mandatory for all parents leaving the hospital and those getting government assistance to take health classes on a regular basis. Understanding that with every adult that is taught how to live healthy decreases the percentage of childhood obesity, simply because it starts with the adults. Today Mrs. Center says "I feel confident, sexy and full of knowledge, I know that I have gone through all this only to help others" says Mrs. Center. Mr. & Mrs. Fitness Center decided in 2014 to create Mr. & Mrs. Fitness Center Nonprofit. This organization was created to provide people the tools needed to educated and live a healthy lifestyle. "We have both tried many different weight loss programs and all of them worked says Mr. Center, but nothing worked as well as HCG and Beachbody's meal plans, Shakeology and their structure for building accountability groups. Because of this we now choose to donate these products along with vouchers for fresh fruits and vegetables, workout DVDs, Personal training sessions, customized meal plans, and later memberships to a nonprofit fitness center in their area and much much more. "We feel we have all the tools needed to help anyone accomplish their fitness goals, they just need to trust us and follow the path we have already taken" Says Mr. If you believe we can help and you want to help us on this journey please DONATE whatever God has placed on your heart. we will send you the T-shirt my daughter or Husband is wearing in the profile picture or somewhere on my page that says "Fighting Childhood Obesity follow here https://instagram.com/nonprofit_accountant_andmore/ or on Twitter YOU SO MUCH FOR SUPPORTING US!

Our Story

Surviving Obesity Surviving Obesity Nonprofit Organization was created over a year ago under the 501c3 name Mr. & Mrs. Fitness Center. In 202o The name was changed to Surviving Obesity because my husband Michael Center and I finally realized that obesity was about to kill us, but God blessed us with another chance to really get this under control. After gaining and losing, and losing and gaining more times then I (Tockqua) can admit, I have finally realized that I am a professional dieter, and in order for me to win this war against obesity I had to stop. Today our goal for this nonprofit is to share our stories with you all, and hopefully help you understand the things we’ve done right, and the things we’ve done wrong. We hope we will encourage you to start your own journey, and we hope we can help you along the way. Thank you so much for following us, please let us know your thoughts and share us with your friends. Remember we are a nonprofit organization, so if you need help with your journey, email us at [email protected]
