Animals Rule Placement Foundation Adoptions are by appointment only with an approved application. Animals Rule Placement Foundation was founded in 2003.

We are a group of volunteers who have come together to rescue and foster animals in need of adoption. Our Mission Statement: Our primary goal is to remove dogs in danger of being euthanized from shelter environments and foster them until permanent homes are found through our adoption program. We believe in the spay and neuter of all animals, regardless of breed, in order to aid in the prevention o

f pet overpopulation. All sick or injured animals receive proper veterinary care, necessary rehabilitation, and dogs who have behaviors that need to be modified receive basic training. Our dogs come to us from a variety of different sources. Most of our dogs are rescued from our City and County Shelters, others are strays, neglected, or abandoned. 🐾Help us welcome Jennifer to the Animals Rule family!
🩷​A huge thank you to her foster mom, Meg, for loving sweet Percy (formerly Pepsi) and getting her ready for this next chapter.
​It didn't take long for Percy to settle right in. Between boat days out on the water and snoozing with her favorite Lamb Chop toy, it took about five minutes for her to realize she runs the whole place now.

Those big 🦋 butterfly ears and gentle, sweet eyes belong to Mia, a special girl currently at our rescue in San Pedro who is ready for a fresh start. At 10 years old and weighing about 11 pounds, this Papillon mix is a calm lap dog who loves relaxing by your side. She is fully housebroken, healthy, vaccinated, spayed, dewormed, and microchipped.

Fully housebroken, dog friendly, and past the puppy stage PopTart is the total package and ready for his forever home. He is 2 yrs old, 27 lbs, and is up to date on all shots. He loves playing tug with his toys, enjoys daily walks, and gets along well with other dogs, though he is equally happy being your one and only companion.

We ran a DNA test on Hendrix, and the results are in! Turns out this scruffy little guy is an adorable, one of a kind blend of Shih Tzu, Small Poodle, Pomeranian, Pekingese, Maltese, and pure "Supermutt" perfection. At around 1.5–2 yrs old and just 14 lbs, Hendrix is fully healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is a polite pup who keeps his kennel completely spotless, and once he settles in, he is a total cuddle bug with so much love to give.

Shaggy is puppy #4 from our litter of four and officially ready for his forever home. Hand raised and bottle fed by our vet tech volunteer, Emily, after losing their mom at five days old, this 12-week-old pup is healthy, thriving, and full of energy!

Born 5/18/26, Shaggy weighs 2–3 lbs (expected adult weight: 12–15 lbs). He is fully dewormed, microchipped, received his 2nd shots on 8/4/26, and is using potty pads.

​🚨 UPDATE Velma is ADOPTED! 🐾 Thank you all so much for the overwhelming interest, shares, and applications for her!

🐻 Between that adorable teddy bear face and her tiny little size, Yorkie puppies are just impossible not to adore! Velma is puppy #3 from our litter of four. Like her littermates, Velma had a tough start losing her mom at just five days old. Thanks to our vet tech volunteer Emily, who hand-raised and bottle-fed her around the clock, this 12-week-old pup is completely healthy, thriving, and ready for her forever family.

Velma’s Details:
▪️DOB: 5/18/26 (Expected adult weight: 12–15 lbs)
▪️Current Weight: 2–3 lbs
▪️ Health/Status: Fully dewormed, microchipped, got her 2nd set of shots on 8/4/26, and is using potty pads.

🩷 Look at that sweet little face! Introducing Daphne, puppy #2 from our litter of four Yorkies!
​This 12 week old beauty is looking for her forever home. Daphne’s life got off to a tough start when she and her littermates lost their mom at just five days old. Luckily, our vet tech volunteer Emily took them in, bottle-feeding and hand raising them around the clock so they could grow into the healthy, playful pups they are today.

​A Little About Daphne:
​DOB: 5/18/26 (Expected adult weight: 12–15 lbs)
​Current Weight: 2–3 lbs
​Health/Status: Fully dewormed, microchipped, got her 2nd set of vaccines on 8/4/26, and she's already doing great with potty pads!

​🚨 ADOPTION UPDATE: Scooby has found his forever family! 🐾 We received an overwhelming number of wonderful applications for him and couldn't be happier for this sweet boy. Thank you so much to everyone who applied and shared his post!

🩵 Look at this absolute picture perfect puppy. Meet Scooby! This happy and active 12 wk old Yorkie is not just a stunning face, he’s a thriving little survivor. After losing his mother at only five days old, he and his littermates were bottle fed and hand raised by Emily, a critical care vet tech with over 25 years of experience. Scooby (born 5/18/26) currently weighs 2 - 3 pounds, but will likely be 12–15 lbs full grown. He is healthy, dewormed, microchipped, received his second set of shots on 8/4/26, and is already successfully using potty pads. And yes, he absolutely loves water!
​Our top priority is placing Scooby in a safe, loving home where he can thrive. Adopted!! 🩷Just look at that face! This is Charm. She is a 2-3 yr old, 12lb terrier mix available for adoption. She is a friendly, happy go lucky girl who is good with other dogs and easy on leash. We’ve been working with her, and she’s already great with sit and lay down commands on cue. We believe she’s housebroken as well.
