A festival of its own right after Sukkot, when we linger a little longer with G-d. Candle lighting 6:17 PM. Soup and salad in the Rabbi's sukkah at 7:01 PM, then hakafot and dancing. Address upon RSVP.

🕊 YIZKOR — SHABBAT, OCT 3, ~11:45 AM
Remembering the victims of the Simchat Torah massacre / October 7. Class 9:45 AM; services 10:15 AM at Chabad S. Pedro Jewish Center. No communal kiddush or lunch.

🎉 SIMCHAT TORAH — SAT NIGHT, OCT 3
We complete the yearly Torah-reading cycle and begin again — celebrated with joyful dancing! Candle lighting after 7:11 PM, from a pre-existing flame. Maariv, Kiddush, an Israeli-style buffet, l'chaim, hakafot, and dancing with the Torah at Chabad S. Pedro! Also marking the first yahrtzeit of Hannah, OBM, mother of David Benouaisch.

Because where else are you going to find a rabbi and a shofar at a pond in San Pedro?
Join us for Tashlich & Shofar at the Pond, Sunday September 13th at 5:15pm, at the Averill Park Pond (enter through S Weymouth Ave and W Averill Park Dr).
We'll blow the shofar, then head down to the water for a short and meaningful Tashlich service, the old custom of letting go of the past year and starting clean.
Everyone's welcome. No experience needed, no membership, just come.

Rosh Hashana is not a holiday to spend alone, and we would love for you to spend it with us instead.

Join us Friday night, September 11th, for a warm, homemade Rosh Hashana dinner. A beautiful round challah, apples and honey, pomegranate, and a table full of the food and traditions that make the new year feel like it's starting right.

Candle lighting and evening services are at 6:45pm, dinner follows at 7:30pm.
