Metas Metas is a free program that offers tutoring, mentoring, courses for students in 8th - 12th grade. Services are provided bilingually.

METAS, the Spanish word for goals, is also a special program at Contra Costa College which focuses primarily on helping junior high and high school Latino/a students to achieve their personal, educational, and career goals. METAS builds a network of support for students through a unique instructional and tutoring program, as well as through parent involvement. The METAS program consists of three main areas which include tutoring, instruction, and parent involvement.

Come and join us at this year's holiday gathering for an afternoon of food and fun activities from cookie decorating to our ugly sweater competition! This in-person celebration is free and open to all Metas students and families.

Food and beverages will be provided. Wear your ugliest holiday-inspired sweater if you'd like to participate in our Ugly Sweater Competition for a prize! We will be voting on the ugliest and most creative sweaters at the event.

Please reserve you and your family's spots by Saturday, December 10th. Space is limited and RSVPs will be required to participate in the event.

Hello Metas Community,

We wanted to share this amazing community resource with you all!

The RYSE Center has partnered up with Bay Area Legal Aid! Their new program will support youth (ages 13-25) every first Wednesday of the Month from 3:30PM to 5PM in the following areas:

- Homelessness: If youth are experiencing homelessness or do not have a space or place to live
- Foster care: If youth want help getting into foster care or getting AB12 benefits
- Guardianship: If youth need help making someone their guardian
- Medical: If youth need access to medical or mental health services
- School: If youth want help with school (enrollment, discipline, special education)
- Public benefits: If youth were denied public benefits like CalFresh(food stamps) or general assistance (cash aid).

¡El Centro RYSE se ha asociado con Bay Area Legal Aid! Su nuevo programa apoyará a los jóvenes (de 13 a 25 años) cada primer miércoles del mes de 3:30 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. en las siguientes áreas:

Hello Metas Community!

This is a reminder that this semester we are offering FREE in-person weekday tutoring on campus! It's not too late to sign up!

Eligibility: Must be in middle school or high school (6th-12th grade)

Where: Contra Costa College

When: Weekday evenings

Modality: In-person

Steps to enroll in tutoring:
1) Fill out this form: https://bit.ly/CCCMetasTutoring *
2) Complete and submit the CCC Metas Voluntary Waiver Form to [email protected]*

Once we have confirmed that we have received these forms, be on the lookout for an email from [email protected] with instructions on how you can access our tutoring booking system.
