The Election is on November 3rd we have the opportunity to vote on issues and for representatives that affect San Mateo County, the state of California, the Nation and our Union. We are workers, consumers, parents, citizens and we are IBEW members. The outcome of these elections will determine the fate of our jobs, our benefits, our retirement and our families.

On the official IBEW 617 Union Voting Guide 2026 you will see candidates that are friends of labor and if elected will help create labor friendly policy locally, statewide and nationally. The information on the sheets represents months of hard work by all the delegates from all the different unions affiliated with the Labor Council. We urge you to support the endorsements and share this information at your workplace and with others. Of course, the decision you choose to make when you vote is yours and yours alone.

To also help you make an informed decision, our union has done the research on how the candidates and ballot initiatives would affect our jobs, our families and our community. Please visit the website www.ibewvotes.com to find out who the IBEW is supporting and why. If you have not done so yet, please check your registration status. Help your families and friends to do so as well. All California active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot. In prior elections, anti-worker representatives were defeated by very small majorities-just a few votes in each neighborhood makes the difference.

On the national, state and local level, we need more allies who support the rights of union members and will stand firmly against those who are working to defeat us. Those elected will have decision making authority in regards to project labor agreements, investing in infrastructure, policy that creates and protects our jobs, the right to organize, collective bargaining and safety for all workers.
