Caregivers know that every person living with schizophrenia faces a unique set of daily challenges and treatment experiences. A treatment that helps one person may not be a good fit for another. This is why it is important to learn about all treatment options, including long-acting injectables (LAls), so that we can all have informed discussions with our healthcare providers about individualized treatment plans.

The Arora Collective’s founders, Candice Arora and Vinney Arora, were honored to attend SolMateo’s end-of-year luncheon and support this year’s grantee review and selection process alongside their team.

As SolMateo celebrated an incredible milestone of 50 years of impact, and a record-breaking fundraising year. We joined community members and advocates in reaffirming a shared belief that no one should face mental health challenges alone.

This year’s fundraising efforts will support three remarkable organizations advancing mental wellness and care across San Mateo County: The Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, NAMI San Mateo County, and Family Connections.

Together, these organizations provide life-changing support, strengthen access to care, and help build a community where mental wellness is prioritized and every individual feels seen and supported.

Congratulations to SolMateo on five decades of impact and continued investment in a healthier, more connected community.

Schizophrenia is a complex mental health condition that is widely misunderstood and stigmatized. It’s important that we all hear from people living with the condition as well as their care partners to understand the real story behind the challenges and success of the treatment journey, including how long-acting injectable treatment options may be an appropriate part of comprehensive care. This is Carlos’s story.

Let’s work together to break stigma!
