Since 1979, Mission Hospice has helped San Mateo County families care for loved ones with comfort and dignity at home. The values that started this work are the same values we carry into our next chapter.

Our new brand marks an exciting chapter. Mission Hospice is part of the largest independent nonprofit hospice network in Northern California, alongside By the Bay Health and Hope Hospice.

Grief can feel heavy, and sometimes a peaceful setting and gentle connection can offer space to simply be. 💜

Join Mission Hospice’s bereavement team for Easing Grief: Mini-Retreat with Comfort Animals, a restorative gathering at Jasper Ridge Farm in Portola Valley.

This special retreat offers adults who are grieving an opportunity to pause, reflect, and connect in a compassionate setting. The experience will include a brief meditation, refreshments, time for reflection, and the chance to spend time with a variety of comforting animals.

Grief following the loss of a loved one through medical aid-in-dying can bring mixed emotions and experiences that may be difficult to navigate alone. Mission Hospice is offering an 8-week End of Life Option Act (EOLOA) grief support group for those seeking connection and understanding after this unique type of loss.

This virtual group provides a compassionate, confidential space to share experiences, explore grief, and connect with others who understand. All perspectives, feelings, and stories are welcome.

Given the mixed emotions and complex dynamics that can accompany medical aid-in-dying, we hope to provide a safe, confidential group for exploring this unique grief experience.

Mission Hospice will be offering an 8-week End of Life Option Act (EOLOA) grief support group on Monday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm, September 28 – November 16, 2026.

This 8-week virtual grief support group offers a compassionate, confidential space to connect with others who understand this kind of loss. We welcome all perspectives and stories.
