🐾 RESCUED 🐾

We are thrilled to announce a special partnership between AARF & Primal Canine Dog Training to help save more large-breed dogs from euthanasia in our local shelters.

Large dogs are often overlooked simply because of their size. We can’t do this alone, and with Primal Canine’s expertise, these dogs can be assessed, trained and given the second chance they deserve.

Both Syven and Shiloh will receive professional training through Primal Canine, with lifetime training support available if needed.

💗 SYVEN
This beautiful brindle pittie is about 5 years old and 65 lbs of pure happiness! She’s energetic, affectionate, eager to please and loves being part of everything. She loves people, especially children, doesn’t really bother with other dogs, and would be happy as an only dog. Because of her strong prey drive, a home without cats would be preferable. Her obedience training is moving along but is limited due to her injury.

Syven has a dislocated elbow that she has likely been living with for quite some time. Has it stopped her? Absolutely not! She has simply pushed through the pain. But those days are over!

Syven has already seen an orthopedic specialist and we’re working on her treatment plan. Our goal is to save her leg, but if amputation is ultimately best for her comfort and quality of life, that’s what we’ll do. And if she becomes a tripod, we know she’ll still live an amazing life!

💗 SHILOH
Beautiful Shiloh is a 2-year-old Shepherd/Rottweiler mix, weighing around 75 lbs. She’s smart, loyal, affectionate and very social.

Shiloh is sweet, cuddly and does well with other dogs. She’s working hard on her verbal commands and doing great! She enjoys going for a run, but once home, she’s happy to relax and chill. She’s an all-around wonderful girl who is ready for an active family and a forever home.

Say hello to Benny! Small dog, huge heart 🩵 This little guy is learning that the world isn’t so scary after all, and he’s doing it one cuddle at a time. He needs a patient adopter and a home without small kids, but give him time and trust, and this little guy will give you everything he’s got. 🩷

Jack is about ready to bust out of his baby enclosure!

Big things are happening for this little guy, he just got his first vaccine! 💉🎉 Jack isn't quite ready for adoption yet, but he's doing well and clearly ready to take on the world. Stay tuned for update!

The Terrific Three, reunited 🩵 Can you tell who's who? Former AARF pup Trixie stopped by to hang with Tanner and Buddy. Tanner and Buddy are the last of their litter and are still looking for their forever homes. Tanner's the curious playful one, Buddy's the sensitive sweetheart who just passed obedience class. 🩷 Two amazing boys, still waiting on their people.

Justice doesn’t make a big entrance. He watches first, thinks it over, and decides on his own timeline. When he does decide you’re worth trusting, he means it completely. He’s a quiet, sensitive soul who shows affection in small, deliberate ways: a slow blink from across the room, a gentle presence nearby, the kind of cat who doesn’t demand your attention but somehow always makes you feel chosen when he gives you his.

Justice loves other cats deeply, especially his foster brother Kahuna, who is basically his safe harbor. The two of them together are a study in opposites that make perfect sense: big and small, outgoing and reserved, always finding each other at the end of the day.

He’d thrive best going home with Kahuna and Cassolette as a trio, or with Kahuna as a pair. But if you already have a gentle, easy going cat at home who’s been waiting for a quiet friend, Justice might just be the missing piece. He needs a patient home, someone who understands that his trust is earned, not given freely, and who knows that’s exactly what makes it worth having.

🥝 Meet Lucy! 🥝

Lucy’s in her kiwi era. She tucked herself into a kiwi box and honestly, those beautiful big green eyes look just like the fruit itself!

Not a diva, but definitely a girl with taste. Her fur is a stylish tuxedo, groomed to a high gloss, and she’s got white whiskers with a little white splash on the right side of her mouth that makes her look like she knows a secret. Maybe she’ll share it with you, if you have a treat.

Lucy is a quiet, low maintenance girl who we think would do just fine as a solo cat, soaking up all the attention (and comfy blankets) for herself!
