Our Story

Grow East Africa Organization is partnering with local communities, government, and other NGO to empower underserved African rural communities such as Burji District to improve their lives. We distribute goats to needy families and help internally displaced people, IDP, grow vegetables to address the nutritional needs and health. In the last three years, we distributed 3-goats per family to 75 families and positively impacted the lives of over 300 IDPs. Our 2018 plan is to expand both initiatives. We leased six acres of new field for the vegetable garden. On this plot, we are constructing a drip irrigation system equipped with a submersible solar pump to delivery well water. We constructed the necessary infrastructure for drip irrigation, such as 10000-liter water storage tank and 5-meter high structure for raising the water tank. To achieve this goal, we are constructing a new six acres vegetable garden equipped with drip irrigation for year around planting. The irrigation system is scheduled to come online by the middle of December 2018. We are very excited to bring more improvement in the daily lives of our clients.
