“O” Snap! For our final library shoutout we’re bringing it home and ROARing for our Albert B. Alkek Library ! 🏢📚

Our library is central to our campus and our student body! Each of the seven floors are specifically purposed for any and all needs including quiet study space, communal computers, and tutoring.

Psssst….there’s also a museum!

Alkek, and EVERY library, does so much for us we can use our voices and ROAR for them! 🦁❤️

It’s never too late to show a library some love so this late post goes out to the libraries of Austin Community College!

has 11 campuses, and each has a unique library designed to provide students with the resources they need to succeed. The libraries often have displays of books, student work, or message boards that anyone can participate in.

Additionally, the Library Services department also offers 24/7 online support to ensure help is always accessible.

With so many campuses, it could be a fun time visiting them all! Who knows? You may even run into ACC’s mascot, , and get a photo with him!

¡Nunca es tarde para mostrarle algo de amor a las bibliotecas, así que este post tardío va dedicado a las bibliotecas de Austin Community College!

As we prepare for the end of our campaign, we want to finish by ROARing for college libraries and the Downs-Jones Library at Huston-Tillotson University is first up!

This incredible two-story library serves as an incredible resource to students, and even includes the university’s archive where unique artifacts and documents detailing the history of Huston-Tillotson University can be found.

FUN FACT: Huston-Tillotson University is the oldest institution of higher learning in Austin, Texas! Consider visiting its archives to learn more and celebrate the success of this HBCU.

I am proud to support the next generation of communications leaders - the Texas State University-CommCats!

They have launched a campaign to engage Central Texas communities to support libraries, and they have an upcoming event to spread awareness of the R.O.A.R. campaign (Read, Organize, Advocate, and Rally) to celebrate the vital role of libraries in our communities.
