As extreme heat is expected to persist across Southern California, Cal/OSHA is reminding employers and workers to take required steps to prevent heat illness. These protections include providing adequate drinking water, shade for outdoor workers or cool-down areas for indoor workers, preventative cool-down rests and training.

Thank you to the North San Diego County NAACP for inviting Universidad Popular to be part of the Back-to-School, Stay-in-School Rally on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at MiraCosta College.

We greatly enjoyed talking with north county families helping them to access community resources, enjoyed lunch, and were inspired to see hundreds of children with their backpacks filled with school supplies, ready to return to school.

"En los últimos días, miembros de AILA han reportado un aumento en clientes detenidos por el DHS en aeropuertos estadounidenses durante viajes dentro de los Estados Unidos.
