For more than a century, the membership of the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce in beautiful San Marcos, Texas has had a voice in business. Seeking to improve the economic prosperity and quality of life in our community, members of the Chamber are working together in areas of education and literacy, business development, governmental affairs and more to improve San Marcos each and every day. The Chamber, in partnership with the City of San Marcos, Hays County, San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, Texas State University, Greater San Marcos Partnership and other key community stakeholders, continues to develop San Marcos as a great place to live, work, play and learn.

Join the Center for Student Enterpreneurship for Ignite, a hands-on, two-day introduction to entrepreneurship, November 6–7, from noon to 5 p.m. both days. Attendance is open to everyone!

The Chamber is committed to connecting our community with the resources available at Texas State to launch small businesses, support entrepreneurs and grow our local trade area. Ignite is one opportunity to turn those connections into action!

“Coffee Time with Corridor Women” brought together 30+ women from a wide variety of businesses for an energizing hour of networking, new friendships, and valuable connections!

A big THANK YOU to RBFCU for hosting and sponsoring this gathering, with breakfast tacos, coffee, and a dozen fabulous door prizes!

All of this in just ONE HOUR, starting the workday and wrapping up the week on a productive note!

The third H-E-B location is officially open in San Marcos, at 1074 E. McCarty Lane! 🥳🛒

At 114,000 square feet, this new location is bringing more than groceries to the east side of I-35. The store will create more than 400 jobs and offers plenty of ways to shop, eat and pick up the essentials, including San Marcos’ first True Texas BBQ restaurant, a full-service bakery and tortilleria, Sushiya hand-rolled sushi, a pharmacy with drive-thru services and, of course, all the H-E-B favorites shoppers know and love.

The company presented $10,000 donations to the San Marcos CISD Education Foundation, Hays County Food Bank and Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University. H-E-B is also supporting native tree planting at San Marcos High School through its Trees for Texans initiative.

Congratulations to the entire H-E-B team on this exciting addition to San Marcos! We’re excited to see this new location become part of the east side community.
