Theta Chi - Iota Upsilon was awarded our colonization and IFC recognition in the Spring of 2012 and then our charter in May 2014. We are a fraternity that believes in having a diverse, friendly, and accepting brotherhood. Our motto is an "assisting hand" and we exemplify this motto through our everyday actions in our lives.

Introducing our April Brother of the Month🐍⚔️

Everyone show some love to one our newest brothers, Jaxson Barcak

Jaxson is from Houston, Texas and currently a junior studying Accounting and embodies what it means to be a Theta Chi.

Jaxson is always the first to show up and lend a hand, consistently going above and beyond for the chapter. His dedication, reliability, and positive attitude don’t go unnoticed, and we’re proud to call him a brother.

When asked what Theta Chi meant to him, Jaxson said “I liked the culture of being around the guys I’ve learned how to hold myself accountable, even when it would be easier to make excuses.”

This past weekend the brother of Theta Chi teamed up with the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi for an amazing brotherhood event. It was a great time getting to know more about the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi and building a stronger connection between both chapters! Good energy all around and definitely something we’ll be hoping on doing again in the future!

This past Saturday, we hosted our annually alumni and family crawfish boil. It was a great day bringing together brothers, alumni, and families to share good food.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a great time. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Introducing our February Brother of the Month🐍⚔️

Everyone show some love to our Philanthropy Chair, Armando Romo!

Armando is from Fredericksburg, TX and is a Senior majoring in Business Management, and the work he’s put in for our chapter this month has not gone unnoticed. From leading our philanthropy efforts to putting in the behind the scenes hours that most people don’t see, he’s gone above and beyond for the chapter.

When asked what Theta Chi means to him, Armando said: “Truthfully, what it’s like to have brothers and everything that comes with that. Whether that be arguments, caring for one another, or just knowing, you’ve got a group of boys you can count on… I’ve made friends here that one day I can see at my wedding and for that I’m forever grateful. Love y’all boys.”

This past week, the brothers of Theta Chi were proud to host our annual Philanthropy Week in support of the United Service Organization (USO). A huge congratulations to for winning this semesters Philanthropy Week! As the winners, they will receive 25% of the total funds raised to donate to their philanthropy.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who participated, donated, showed up to events, and supported our mission in supporting the USO. A huge shoutout to for putting this all together and another successful philanthropy week!
