The Community Gallery at City of San Marcos TX - City Hall is now accepting submissions for its October - March 2026 show.
This bi-annual juried show highlights local and regional artists. Open to artists aged 18 and over from Hays, Travis, Caldwell, Comal, and Guadalupe Counties.

The City of San Marcos Public Works Stormwater Calendar Art Contest is back!

CALL FOR ARTIST QUALIFICATIONS: The San Marcos Arts Commission is seeking artists or artist teams to submit their qualifications to integrate art in the park of a predominately Hispanic, bilingual neighborhood. The selected artist will facilitate community involvement both during the design and painting phase of this public art project.
DEADLINE: August 17, 2026
STIPEND: $5,000 plus materials

There are opportunities for receiving arts and cultural grants from the San Marcos Arts Commission - the Tourism Grant, the Spark Grant and the Community Arts Grant. The grant process begins each year in mid-summer. Check back for more details in June.
