San Marcos Youth Service Bureau (YSB)

San Marcos Youth Service Bureau (YSB) YSB is an afterschool and summer program for youth ages 11-17 years old.

YSB offers mentoring, education on topics related to teens, volunteer projects in the community, field trips and recreation. YSB offers the opportunity for youth to connect as a group to volunteers that are from Texas State University. Here, youth can safely spend hours of the day practicing their social skills, interacting with others, as well as professionals in various areas of expertise. They

gain great self-confidence and pride in the volunteer work they do and connect with their community. Youth add value to their resumes in not only their social skills and increased awareness, but also in their volunteer experience. These additional qualifications can be very important as they apply for future employment and educational goals. YSB is one of the oldest non-profits serving San Marcos, and through grants and donations, we continue to be a free service.
