Meet up with Jacob Grovey and Global Genius Society as he discusses his 2 books: With Mom and A Kicking It Sneaker Story.

Jacob is a Texas-based author who writes children's books, graphic novels, poetry, and novels for readers of all ages. His love for writing started in the 3rd grade when his teacher challenged the class to create stories and poetry. He truly enjoys speaking to kids in elementary schools because he hopes to spark an interest in writing the same way his teacher did for him.

Sharell is an IT resident in Google’s Austin office. In May, she graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Computer Science. Sharell is an aspiring software engineer, and specifically interested in machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts. She is also interested in doing what she can to increase the amount of black people in technology.

Meet our February Community Meet-Up Co-Host, Andrew Gomez with Texas Regional Bank!

Andrew Gomez is a San Antonio, Texas native. After high school he enrolled at Texas State University as a Communication Studies major with a minor in Business Administration. During his time in College Andrew started a small ice cream business that he ran for a couple of years. It’s Andrew's dream one day to start a longer lasting business. Collectively, he has been in the banking industry for about 2 years and currently is a Banker at Texas Regional Bank.

Keystone Club of South Central Texas provides leadership development opportunities for young people ages 14 to 18. Youth participate in activities and three focus areas: academic success, career preparation and community service.

With the guidance of an adult advisor, Keystone Club of South Central Texas aims to have a positive impact on members, our club and the Hays, Caldwell, Comal and Guadalupe Communities.
