Dam Chili Cookoff

Dam Chili Cookoff Benefit Chili Cookoff for the youth of YSB, San Marcos, Texas. Shaun Shaver created The Dam Chili Cook Off. The event is open to the public and is kid friendly.

If you know beans about chili then you know chili ain't got no beans! .... the line from Kent Finlay's song, "Beans About Chili" The Dam Chili Cook Off is a benefit for YSB, San Marcos Youth Service Bureau, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization and we like to do what we can to help them out each year. If you would like to enter the event, the Fee is $50 and all proceeds go directly to YSB. Y

If you would like to be an Official Sponsor please contact Shaun Shaver or YSB directly. I will add your business or personal name to the back of the shirts. Please no PETS !! You may BYOB, but please no glass bottles. There is a $5 donation at the door. Live music will be provided from Noon until Dark 30ish. Silent auction , artisan vendors and lot's of chili!

Mark your Calendars April 18, 2026 will be the date of the 19th Dam Chili Cookoff. It will be held in the same location. 204 Main St. Martindale Tx. Registration will begin Jan 1st 2026. (or there about)

The final, well almost final tally is in, San Marcos Youth Services raised $13,000, after expenses.
We still have a few unclaimed Silent Auction items totaling $500 so if you receive a text or call, please arrange to pick up your items. They are at 204A Medical Parkway, San Marcos. Tx. 78666

Thank you to the 38 teams who will be participating in the 18th Dam Chili Cookoff, April 5th in Martindale Tx. Registration is closed for this year's event.
We will have musical guests: HalleyAnna Finlay, Joel Hofmann, Mark Jungers & Ace Pepper Band. Big shout out to Ace for his many years of sound engineering and music !!
We also have a lot of wonderful Silent Auction items, including some local art work from many of our talented San Marcos artists.
We would appreciate cash sales but we will be accepting credit cards and some apps, but Cash is King !!

Just a friendly reminder, Sunday at midnight is the last day to enter the Dam Chili Cookoff.
If you are wanting to Sponsor the cookoff the deadline to make the shirts is Mar 27th.
