🍼 PROJECT CRADLE CARE 🍼

As we close out another incredible sorority year, Nu Sigma Sigma is filled with gratitude for the success of Project Cradle Care.

Because of the generosity of our Sorors, community partners, family, friends, and donors, we collected enough essential items to assemble 21 fully stocked diaper bags for 21 NICU families at Ascension Seton Hays Hospital. Each bag, valued at over $250, was filled with much-needed supplies for mothers and their precious babies during one of life’s most challenging journeys.

These bags represent more than diapers, blankets, bottles, and toiletries—they represent hope, love, encouragement, and sisterhood in action.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated and supported this initiative, especially our community partner Unforgettable Families and Friends, Inc!

We also want to recognize and celebrate our outstanding Project Cradle Care (PCC) Committee for their vision, leadership, organization, and countless hours of hard work in bringing this project to life.

What a phenomenal way to close out another unforgettable sorority year!

From the delicious food and thoughtful gifts to the laughter, dancing, strolling, and unforgettable moments of sisterhood, our Nu Sigma Sigma Chapter End-of-Year Meeting & Celebration was everything our hearts needed and more.

We paused to honor our Chartering Administration - the visionary women who dared to dream, worked tirelessly, and laid the foundation upon which our beloved chapter stands today. There were tears of reflection, smiles of celebration, embraces of love, and moments that reminded us exactly why Sisterhood is Powerful. We celebrated our journey, honored our past, and embraced our future together.

Words cannot thank our Chartering Basileus Soror Aretha (Waits) Caston (Being Aretha) our Chartering Anti-Basileus (LaToya Ray) and our Board of Directors for all of their hard work. Your leadership, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment created a legacy that will continue to inspire generations of Sorors to come!🙏🏾

With heartfelt gratitude, they officially passed the torch to our new administration, ready to build upon that strong foundation and lead us to even greater heights.🙌🏾

Nu Sigma Sigma (along with our families and friends) showed UP and showed OUT at the 2026 San Antonio NPHC Cookout! 🌭🍔🎉

From selling MORE than our requested number of tickets to proudly serving the community as food volunteers… our Sorors represented with excellence, service, and sisterhood every step of the way.

We are proud to have contributed to such a successful event filled with fellowship, unity, laughter, and Divine Nine collaboration. Events like these remind us of the power of community and what can happen when organizations come together in the spirit of service and connection.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported, attended, volunteered, and helped make this event memorable. Nu Sigma Sigma is always honored to serve and support initiatives that strengthen our communities and our NPHC bonds.

The ladies of Nu Sigma Sigma were outside today in Kyle showing up with purpose, pride, and a little Blue & Gold flair.

Our Sorors volunteered alongside Unforgettable Families and Friends, Inc to help raise funds at Walmart in support of the US Veterans Service Dog Project through the KYLE VFW POST #12058. 🇺🇸🐾

Nothing but smiles, service, and sisterhood as we supported an organization doing meaningful work for those who have sacrificed so much. Because when the community calls, ΝΣΣ understands the assignment every time!!!!
