Eden Village of San Marcos TX

Eden Village of San Marcos TX Tiny Home village for our friends experiencing homelessness. We believe the only cure for homelessness is a home. Sheila & Andrew Morgan

For over 27 years our family has been involved in the Recovery community in and around Central Texas. Before breaking free of addiction and homelessness in 1995, my husband Andrew and I had personally experienced some of the same struggles that our friends without homes experience. The support we received in those years made it possible for us to get back on our feet and rebuild our lives. We have

an immense passion to pay forward the love and support we have received and serve our growing community. Having developed relationships over many years with our friends without a home, we understand the need for a permanent and supportive community model. With establishing safe and affordable homes, we will enable our homeless friends to break free of the constant struggles of sleeping outside. My family and I have partnered with Eden Village to form a non-profit organization, Eden Village of San Marcos. The first Eden Village was established in Springfield MO, and has helped chronically homeless neighbors get off of the street, out of the brutal elements, and into safe, affordable homes with incredible communal support systems to help them rebuild and maintain their lives. Due to its success, the inspiration to create a long-term solution to chronic homelessness has spread across the nation resulting in over a dozen other cities developing communities using the Eden Village model. Eden Village of San Marcos will be a 30-50 unit Tiny Home community specially designed to provide permanent homes for chronically homeless individuals. Eden Village gives residents a chance to transition back into a productive life within the community. The neighborhood will be pedestrian only, gated, with a community center, a courtyard and a front porch for every home. This model gives residents a chance to share their experiences in a safe environment while receiving services from within their own neighborhood. Inspired by testimony from residents of Eden Villages in Springfield, we know our residents will experience a radical transformation in their lives, which will benefit the entire community. Our hope is that local families, corporations, hospitals, government, faith-based organizations and other non-profits within the San Marcos community will collaborate together with us to make this unique solution a reality for our homeless friends.

Throne Room Daily Devotional — Sunday, April 19, 2026

1 John 4:16-19
"So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us."

Embracing the profound truth of God's love can transform your life in ways you might not yet imagine. You may find yourself caught in the daily hustle and bustle, feeling the weight of the world press upon you. In these moments, it is essential to pause and reflect on the love that God has for you. This love is not just a fleeting emotion; it is the very essence of who He is. When you abide in this love, you find a refuge that shields you from fear.

Consider what it means to know and believe in this divine love. It assures you that you are not alone in your struggles. Every fear you carry can be released into the hands of a loving God. As you surrender your anxieties to Him, you begin to experience the freedom that comes from understanding that you are accepted and cherished just as you are. This acceptance is not based on your performance or perfection, but solely on His unconditional grace.

The passage reminds you that “perfect love casts out fear.” This is a powerful promise! If you find yourself feeling anxious or afraid, remember that in grounding yourself in God's love, you can confront those fears with courage. You may not know what tomorrow holds, but you can trust in the unwavering love of the Father, which gives you the strength to face each day with boldness and peace.

As you navigate your daily life, let the knowledge of His love guide your thoughts and actions. Allow it to transform your relationships and interactions, for when you are filled with the love of God, you cannot help but share that same love with others. May this truth empower you, envelop you, and propel you forward into a future filled with hope and possibilities.

May you walk in the awareness of God's abiding love today and every day, casting aside fear and embracing His purpose for your life. Let this love work through you, as you share it with the world around you.

Lord, thank You for Your perfect love that casts out all fear. Help me to dwell in Your love and to share it with others. May I trust in Your provision and purpose for my life, knowing that I am secure in Your embrace. Amen.
