River Monsters 9U Fire on All Cylinders in Big-Time Win
River Monsters 9U came ready to play on Sunday, putting together a complete team performance in a huge 13-4 win at 605 Old Zorn Rd.
The boys wasted no time setting the tone. River Monsters 9U jumped out early in the first inning, putting pressure on the defense, working quality at-bats, and finding ways to score. Hudson K drew a bases-loaded walk, Liam L took one for the team to drive in a run, and the River Monsters grabbed momentum right away.
The energy kept rolling in the second inning. River Monsters 9U stayed aggressive, capitalized on opportunities, and Zack J brought the spark by stealing home. The boys continued to apply pressure and build their lead with smart, aggressive baseball.
Then came the big swing.
In the third inning, Case S delivered a massive inside-the-park home run, bringing in three runs and sending the River Monsters dugout into full celebration mode. Case finished the day 2-for-3 and led the team with three RBIs, setting the pace from the leadoff spot.
Abraham G got the start on the mound for River Monsters 9U and competed strong, going two and one-third innings while striking out one. Eli M came in relief and helped the River Monsters finish the job.
