He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. - Matthew 28:6

Victory over death.

The grave couldn’t hold Him. The stone wasn’t rolled away so Jesus could get out, it was rolled away so we could see in. Everything changed in this moment. Death was defeated. Sin lost its grip. Hope was no longer a promise, it became reality. What looked like the end on the cross was actually the beginning of new life. The resurrection isn’t just something we celebrate, it’s something we live in. Because He lives, we are no longer bound by what once held us.

Are you living like the tomb is still full or like it’s empty?

The grave is empty, and so is fear.

It is finished.

These weren’t words of defeat, they were words of completion. Everything Jesus came to do was fulfilled in that moment. The sin of the world, the separation between God and man, the debt no one else could pay, it was finished. Not partially. Not almost. Completely. The cross wasn’t the end of hope, it was the beginning of redemption. What looked like loss was actually victory. What looked like weakness was ultimate strength. Jesus didn’t just endure the cross, He accomplished something eternal through it.

Are you still carrying what Jesus already finished?

He didn’t say “I am finished”… He said “It is finished.”

When Jesus had tasted it, he said, ‘It is finished!’ Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.” - John 19:30

Surrender under pressure.

This is one of the most raw and human moments we see in Jesus. He felt the weight. He knew the pain that was coming. And He didn’t pretend it was easy. He asked if there was another way—but He didn’t stop there. He surrendered. “Not my will, but Yours.” That’s real strength. Not the absence of struggle, but the willingness to obey God in the middle of it. Gethsemane reminds us that obedience isn’t always comfortable, but it is always purposeful. Even when it costs everything.

Where is God asking you to trust His will over your own?

Real strength says: “Not my will… but Yours.”

Given for you.

Jesus sat at the table knowing exactly what was coming. The betrayal. The suffering. The cross. And still, He gave thanks. Then He broke the bread and offered it to His disciples, saying, “This is my body… given for you.” Not taken. Not forced. Given. Everything about this moment points to love that chooses sacrifice. He wasn’t reacting to circumstances, He was fulfilling purpose. The cross wasn’t an accident. It was a decision. And at that table, Jesus made it personal. For you.

Do you truly live like His sacrifice was meant for you personally?

It wasn’t taken from Him, He gave it. For you.
