SMTX Chess San Marcos Texas Chess Club We meet weekly on Wednesday at the San Marcos Public Library from 6:00 PM to 8:45 PM. Come by and say hi!

SMTX Chess Club is dedicated to spreading the joy of playing chess to people of ALL ages and skill levels from child to adult and novice to master. We have plenty of boards, sets, and clocks so all you need to bring is yourself. We are also an official USCF club so we are able to have official USCF rated events periodically. There is a wide range of members starting at beginner and going all the w

ay to near master. We also do a monthly UNRATED rapid tournament (G/10 +2) on the 4th Wednesday of every month starting at 6:15pm

HUGE shoutout to our chief TD Jonathon Quest (Jonathon Lee Singler. He was an incredible TD and a really great guy. We had SO many players and parents come up to us to compliment him. Him and our assistant TDs Luke and Mara S. Martínez-Santori really helped to make the tournament amazing!
