Adelante San Luis

San Luis is the oldest community in the state of Colorado, established April 5, 1851 and is located in the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado. In 2015, The Colorado Trust visited the San Luis Valley, and in visiting with the community members, chose San Luis as a community that would receive grant monies to promote health equity. The goal is to encourage and strengthen resident and community led solutions.

Adelante San Luis is a grass-roots organization which is compromised of members of the community and includes 12 youth leaders. The vision of the Adelante San Luis is that San Luis youth and young adults are culturally empowered, socially connected, and economically prosperous.
