For God and Country, we associate ourselves together for the following purposes: To participate in parades and other ceremonies which are in keeping with the aims and purposes of the American Legion; to promote motorcycle safety education programs and to provide a social atmosphere for American Legion members with the same motorcycle interests.

The PGR has invited the Family to honor him to his final resting Place, and it’s my Honor to so.

Robert “Bob” Bumann, 70, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at his home in Los Alamos, California. Bob was born on October 23, 1948. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army serving four years in Vietnam, Korea, and Germany. Bob served at the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office for four years before becoming an officer with the Santa Maria Police Department in 1976. Bob served 23 years on the Santa Maria Police Force. Bob retired from the police force as a Corporal in 1998. After leaving the police department, Bob was a lifetime member of the NRA, a member of Elks Lodge 1538 in Santa Maria, a lifetime member of the American Legion, Post 534 and Rider in Orcutt, a member of the American Legion Riders, a lifetime member of the VFW, post 2521 in Santa Maria, and served on the VFW and American Legion Honor Guards.

Bob is survived by his first wife Susan Mack of Orcutt, son Jason Bumann (Aimee) of Sisquoc, daughter Jennifer Fi*****io (David) of Orcutt, step-son Craig Morgan (Erika) of Santa Maria, step-son Eric Morgan (Rachel) of Morro Bay, brother-in-law Michael Farris of Los Alamos, 10 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years Connie Bumann, Brother Fred (Red) Bumann, sister Virginia Farris, brother John Bumann and nephew Kenneth Bumann.

9:15 AM, Form Flag line from Funeral Home to Coach
9:30 AM, Accompany our Hero to St. Anthony’s Church, 270 Helena Street, Los Alamos
10:30 AM, Accompany our Hero to his final rest place graveside service with full Military Honors at Los Alamos Cemetery, 4777 Drum Canyon Road, Los Alamos.
