Historical Moment for Women’s Equality in Sports! -
Women’s Equity Day, August 26
The 2024 Paris Olympics will mark the first time in which women and men athletes competing on Team USA are guaranteed equal pay and benefits in their sport, under the Equal Pay for Team USA law authored by U.S. Senators Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.).
The Equal Pay for Team USA law ensures equal pay and benefits for all athletes who represent the United States in global athletic competitions, like the Olympics, Paralympics and the World Cup, regardless of gender. 🎉🎉🎉

Celebrate the remarkable women who have shaped US history.
The Seneca Falls Convention Anniversary is a time to look back at the progress in women's rights, acknowledge the work that still needs to be done, and honor those who paved the way for a more equal society.

The convention, the first of its kind, produced The Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions, which has been called the most important document in the history of American feminism and which inaugurated the women's suffrage movement in the United States.

Seneca Falls was organized by a group of five women: Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Coffin Mott, Martha Coffin Wright, Mary Ann McClintock, and Jane Hunt. 💕

ANNOUNCEMENT: COSWG Legacy Service Grants Request for Proposals!
The SLO Commission on the Status of Women & Girls’ Legacy Service Fund is accepting grant proposals. Apply Now!
A One-Time Award of $1,000 will be awarded in each SLO County District. Small nonprofit organization as defined by an annual operating budget of less than $50,000.00 and with two or less staff. The awarded funds directly benefit the supervisorial district of the organization.
