Today demarcates 16 years that we've been dancing ecstatically here in SLO town...intentionally beginning in 2004 on a day that symbolizes beginnings...
mother's day 💛
Inspired initially by santa cruz, esalen and san diego, we became the 4th "dance church" in california... 3 years in we changed locations and named it woo! ( for about 3 months haha )
Then came the yum session years at the monday club and are still happening on special occasions...
We then moved across the street to our current home at the vet's hall and changed the name to ecstatic dance slo - aka edslo...
now it is evolving into and "flowscape slo presents" which is intent on bringing back the regularity of weekly dances and will occasionally produce events with this symbol 🧩... gatherings formally known as ecstatic dance (a prince reference haha)
me thinks our post corona economy is ripe and ready for elevating our human capacity to artistically, somatically, playfully, theatrically, respectfully, non verbally & blissfully engage at these gatherings / events...
here's to the next 16 years...
