Happy week 10 everyone! We hope your dead week hasn’t been too hard, but it will be x10 better though after you come out to our meeting tomorrow! We will be painting and hanging out, whether you just need de-stress or want to paint someone a holiday gift! Can’t wait to see you tomorrow at 11 ⛄️

Happy week six y’all! Round up your old costume apparel and come find some new things just in time for the weekend! Costume waste is a huge issue in the US—polyester, which is used in 63% of all costumes, can take up to 200 years to decompose! Help give these items a second life while also watching Climate Solutions Now “The Worthy Fight for Energy Democracy.” Can’t wait to see you there 👻🎃

Happy Week 6! This Thursday May 6th at 11:10 am Net Impact is thrilled to be hosting guest speaker Mary Ciesinski from ECOSLO. 🦋 ECOSLO (The Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo) is a non-profit, environmental-based organization that promotes education, advocacy, and stewardship for the San Luis Obispo County natural environment. ECOSLO works with local businesses to help them get their green certification and Mary will be telling us all about that. She will also be sharing ways for college students to get involved. 🤗

We have rescheduled our Sustainable Spending on a Student Budget workshop to this Thursday, April 28th at 11:10 am in our usual meeting place! We will also be hosting a GIVEAWAY for everyone who attends the meeting! By attending the meeting you’ll get the chance to win some awesome household items to help with living sustainably as a college student!

As part of Green Campus' Earth Week celebration, Net Impact will be holding an event Wednesday, April 20th, 11-12 pm in UU-219! We will be sharing our ideas and tips for spending money on sustainable and ethical products while remaining on a student budget. Come learn about some of the best spots in SLO to purchase sustainable products and how to budget in order to spend consciously!

Welcome back to campus Net Impact! We can't wait to see you for our very first meeting of Spring Quarter this Thursday, April 7th at 11:10 am in Building 2 Room 203. 🧠

Our Thoughts on Things discussion this week will surround the sanctions currently being imposed on Russia and how the power of economics can help in supporting Ukraine. We will also discuss the reactions by American and European businesses in cutting ties with Russian products or supply chains, and how this impacts different groups involved. Come ready to learn and chat about important current events! 🤔🇺🇦
