We have a full suite of samples for the most part this week with just two sites on SLO Creek not sampled. Even though we have had measurable rain the numbers don’t reflect any dramatic rise! As usual Pismo Creek takes top honors for highest bacteria count. Currently for North Coast, the only creek with ocean flow is San Simeon. Enjoy your weekend 🌊

Happy Earth Month!! We have some exciting events to share 🌊

1️⃣San Luis Obispo is updating its 2026 Climate Action Plan Progress Report and the city is asking for community input ahead of a City Council study session. Two March “Community Climate Action Progress” meetings also took place, highlighting how residents, local organizations, and the City are cutting emissions—and where we need to go next.
2️⃣SLO Earthfest is taking place April 18 and we’re happy to announce that we’ll be hosting a booth at the event! We’re excited for some live music, good food, and sustainable solutions. Come say hey and learn about what we’re up to!
3️⃣Join us for our monthly Happy Hour Beach Cleanup on April 19. We’ll meet in front of Blue Moon Over Avila for some delicious ocean friendly drinks and make our way down to the beach for a social beach cleanup. Can’t wait to see you there!
4️⃣Cal Poly Surfrider is hosting a film fest with all proceeds donated to the YTT Northern Chumash Tribe & Un Mar De Colores. Come out and support some talented filmmakers!
