Quick update. My non-profit has been incubated by Conduit Mission since I launched. With our move to California we are going to have to file for 501(c)3 status on our own. So, the bad news is that we are unable to process donations until that time. Stay tuned and I'll reach out when we are able to re-launch. This has been a huge blessing to be apart of and we are excited to get Harbinger House back up and running just as soon as we can.

Food for thought...

I mentioned the opportunity we had to help some folks in need over the weekend. Here's the thing, a good portion of my Nashville friends actually know these folks...they just don't know what they are going through. We ALL go through difficult times and it isn't easy when times are tough to reach out and be vulnerable in what the circumstances are. I've been there for sure. Just a quick report here. Because of those that give to Harbinger House, we were able to reach out financially to a person in desperate need. They lost their job and have been struggling financially for a few months. Thank you for giving, it allows us to be the hands and feet of Jesus. We are on this journey together and are called to carry the load from time to time just as those around us jump in to help when we are down.

Happy New Year!!!

Quick update:

We are moving to California at the end of January. We will remain plugged in to the Nashville area, but our main focus is going to shift to our new home area in California's Central Coast.

Additionally, some exciting things are happening. Up until this point we have been incubated through Conduit Mission, however we are now able to file for our own 501c3 status. Also, we are thrilled to report that some new funding is coming in for 2014 which is going to allow us to help folks on a broader scale. Stay tuned!

I was recently asked to summarize what Harbinger House is...

I started Harbinger House officially about a year and a half ago, however my whole life I have been passionate about people and have had a deep care for those I come into contact with. In meeting people and hearing their stories I was moved to act. I found that there is a real need for people to be available, authentic, and uplifting to those around them. We all go through struggles in life, it's being there to walk through these struggles with people and remind them that they aren't alone, that they are valued and cared for and to walk with them through to the other side. Certain people that I come into contact with also find that they need to take pause from the onslaught of what life throws at all of us. So with this in mind, Harbinger House was founded. Our goal....To be a place of refuge, to have a listening ear,and to provide a helping hand.

Pretty simple, yet pretty profound.
