What type of businesses can get Green Certified? 🌿

From churches, to home-businesses, to construction companies, there are many different business sectors that can be Green Certified!

In fact, this past March we recognized our first place of worship in the county, SLO Adventist Church, to be Green Business Certified! Through the Green Business Program, they were able to win a $1,000 grant that allowed them to transform all of their lighting to be LEDs.

We also were able to certify the county’s first certified construction business last October to be Green Business Certified. Through their sustainable efforts, .services was able to convert their office operations to be environmentally friendly.

For the past two years, ECOSLO has had the privilege of celebrating our recent Green Business Certified businesses owners with a Green Ribbon-cutting ceremony that includes a certificate inside of a beautiful frame made from salvaged wood. 🪵

Along with the many certifications, comes many ceremonies and we’ve run out of wooden frames!~

ECOSLO is now reaching out to the community! If anyone has any additional frames to donate that can fit an 8.5” x 11” sized paper we would greatly appreciate the donation. Feel free to DM us or drop it off at our office! Your contributions are valued.

We would love to continue our tradition of these celebrations for our Green Businesses.💚

~Thank you
