Summer is almost here and this month we’re focusing on spending more time outside and reconnecting with the natural world around us. Whether it’s going on a picnic, a bike ride, or even stepping out into your backyard, spending time in nature can help us slow down, recharge, and appreciate the environment
we’re working to protect. 🌎

Join ECOSLO and the Central Coast Aquarium for a World Oceans Day celebration and cleanup on June 13th from 9-11:30am. We will be meeting at the Central Coast Aquarium in Avila Beach at 9am and then spreading out to the Bob Jones Trail, Avila Beach, Fisherman's Beach, and Olde Port Beach! World Oceans Day is a celebration dedicated to a collective call to action for a healthy ocean, so come on out and help us keep our ocean clean!!

This past Tuesday we had 21 volunteers come out to help us clean Pirates Cove! 🌊

We picked up 50 pounds of trash and 26 pounds of recycling and each year we’ve seen those numbers continue to decrease! 🌎

Come on our on June 9th from 10am-noon to help us care for the trees and shrubs we have planted at Johnson Ranch Open Space! Maintenance will consist of watering, weeding, and light pruning. We encourage you to wear closed-toed shoes and layers! We will have a water jug and cups for you all, but we encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottles to make sure you have enough.
