In partnership with the City and Cal Poly, the Foundation provides essential funding for the Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo, a place of great beauty and pride for our entire community. We also support the School Matinee Programs, which bring thousands of children to live performances every year. Our contribution to the PAC comes from contributions from people and businesses in our community.

We are still reeling from a wonderful night with our winery partner, as we received an incredible education on Rhône varietals, sipped on beautiful wines by Bob and Louisa, and dined on delicious food from !

Spotlight on FPAC Staff Member: Laura Kirven

Meet Laura, our new Events Assistant! Laura grew up in northern CA and moved to SLO in 1989. She attended Cuesta and Cal Poly, is married to her wonderful husband Shawn, and they have two amazing kids in college. Laura has worked in customer service positions all her life, and enjoys helping people feel seen, comfortable, taken care of, and welcomed. She thrives off the energy an event can bring to a space and wants to make sure our donors are taken care of with intention and precision.

Join us for an inaugural tasting event on January 25 at 5:30pm with FPAC’s newest winery partner, Verdad & Lindquist Wines! Owners Bob Lindquist and Louisa Sawyer Lindquist are two incredible wine makers who love music and performing arts. Bring a friend and enjoy an incredible evening with:

·      Six Rhone varietal wine tastings with winemaker Bob Lindquist (three whites & three reds)

·      15% off tasting room purchases

·      Pizza & salads from Branch Street Deli

·      Raffles for wine & tickets to performances with VIP access at the Performing Arts Center

Tickets are $50 per person or $45 for FPAC Crescendo Club, Center Circle Members, and anyone who chooses to join the Crescendo Club that evening. Anyone who joins will also go home with a free bottle of wine!

Happiest of holidays to you and yours. May this next year be filled with love, light, and the arts, priceless gifts felt by the heart.

As this year comes to a close, we feel immensely grateful for this incredible community; the performers and artists who share their hearts, the joyous children who join us for matinees, the inimitable tech crew that make every show shine, our passionate board and commission who help us advocate for the arts, our phenomenal partners at the PAC and Cal Poly and the city of San Luis Obispo, our generous donors and partners who support it all, and to you, for your boundless love of the arts.

We look forward to gathering with you all at the PAC in the new year, as the season continues with our fantastic local arts organizations and Cal Poly Arts’ outstanding programming.

Through ongoing financial support and dedication, we strive to uphold the PAC’s splendor and adapt it to meet the evolving needs of our diverse community.
