Who said Asians can't be cool? Join us at the Palm Theatre on the 24th, 7pm for a screening of Better Luck Tomorrow! Directed by Justin Lin, this Y2K movie made waves at Sundance because it showed Asians in a "negative light". The characters aren't nerds or just immigrants–they're getting into trouble and being risky. Diverse storytelling in the AAPI diaspora is important, and we're so excited to share this film with all of you!

AAPI SLO Festival is coming up... and we want to highlight you! We know there’s a lot of talent and creativity in our community, and here’s your chance to show it off! Artists/designer must be of AAPI background.

We are hosting a tshirt design competition for our 5th Annual AAPI SLO Festival! 👚👕

Rules:
• theme: “Stronger together”
• designs must be on either a black or white shirt
• only have up to two different colors in the design 🎨  
• deadline: 4/24, winner announced 4/25

🤲 The winning designer will receive a free t-shirt with their design being the official tshirt of our AAPI Festival! Submission form is in our linktree! The form will close 4/24/26 at midnight. Have fun designing! ✨

It’s that time of year! 😍🌟🥳

Our 5th Annual AAPI SLO Festival (Asian American Pacific Islander SLO) is around the corner! Join us on May 3rd from 12pm-4pm at SLO Public Market to celebrate our AAPI culture here on the Central Coast.

From food and art to jewelry and crafts, come support your locally-owned AAPI businesses! We will also be having performances all day from dance crews to lion dance! We can’t wait to see you there 💞
