Kovu is a huge bear of a dog, approximately 4 years old. He is mostly GSD with a teeny bit of husky mixed in, hence his one blue eye. Kovu has a massive frame but he's a gentle giant. He requires someone who can handle his physical strength, but who appreciates his big heart. Kovu would consider a home with a large female dog, maybe another shepherd, but he doesn't care for other male dogs. He's a macho dude with nothing to prove!

Kovu was found in a parking lot, possibly having bit hit by a car. We are proud to be the rescue that will help him find love and stability. If you like size XL Shepherds, Kovu might be your special boy!

HELP!!! This young bi-color darling baby is currently rescue only although described as sweet as a be - I just LOVE bi-colors!!! They are so sweet with an experienced handler (as a boy he may do well with a female but I’m sure he’d love any family offering a LOVING home!)

💔 Dutch Needs a Home 💔

Hello, my name is Dutch. I’m a beautiful female German Shepherd, born around 1/17/19. A few years ago, I was adopted from FRGSR, but sadly, my owner could no longer care for me, and now I find myself without a home again.

Losing my family has been so hard on me. The kind people at the rescue are taking good care of me, but what I truly need is a loving foster or forever home.

I’m a sweet, affectionate girl who loves human attention. I dream of going on walks, playing fetch, and then snuggling up with my person at the end of the day. I’ve done well in doggy daycare before, but I can be leash-reactive and will need someone patient to help me.

I do have some medical needs, requiring special food and monthly medication, but FRGSR is offering to cover my food costs for six months and initial lab work to help my new family. I am also available for Foster-to-Adopt, which means you can give me a chance while the rescue supports you in my care.

I just want to love and be loved again. Will you be my hero?
