6 more scouts are BSA certified swimmers! 🕶️🏊‍♂️We had so much fun at our swim adventure this morning we forgot to take any pictures! We did capture the sun lounging lizards at the end though 🦎☀️ As always, thanks to the San Luis Obispo Elks #322 and BSA Troop 322 - San Luis Obispo for hosting us and testing the scouts! We appreciate you!

What an adventure we had this weekend! Pack 6 spent the night camping ⛺️INSIDE the Fresno Chaffee Zoo! 🐯🦁🐘🦘We were spoiled with activities and a night flashlight 🔦 tour, and had a behind the scenes look at food prep 🥩🥗for all the animals and we also got to pet both sting rays 🦈AND giraffes! 🦒Super fun pack 6 outing! Thanks to all who participated!

Resilience & perseverance, these should also be points of the scout law! Our Tiger scouts 🐯 showed both of these qualities this weekend when they chose to embrace the rain 🌧️, instead of cancel their fishing trip🐟! They had a great time! As much as I would like to say they all caught fish sadly I cannot, although a few sticks and branches were wrested free 😆. Even though they "got skunked" they enjoyed the day.

Volunteering is fun! Ten scouts volunteered some of their time today out at Woods Humane Society making treats and toys for the cats and dogs looking for new homes. What fun! And such sweet animals 😍

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL day for science and conservation at the Morro Bay National Estuary Program Nature Center! 🪼🌊 Our program leader, Forest, led the scouts in a watershed presentation, learned about pollution and the critters that inhabit the water when it is polluted/clean, outdoor games, and "belly biology" investigating the critters that live in our waters. All in all, a VERY ENJOYABLE experience. Thank you Forest!

🍀March is conservation month for Pack 6! 🌿We had a guest speaker at our pack meeting; Dean Thompson from Science Discovery, an educational program from San Luis Obispo County Integrated Waste Management Authority! He taught the scouts about recycling 🌎 and our natural resources. 🚰 Super fun and engaging. Thank you Dean!
