This page documents the Eagle Scout service project of Caleb Korona, a member of Scouts BSA Troop 2322, created to establish a dedicated Flag Retirement Site at American Legion Post 291 in San Leon, Texas.
American Legion Post 291 serves as the chartered organization for Scouts BSA Troop 2322.
This project is sponsored by Scouts BSA Troop 2322 and is being completed in fulfillment of the requirements for the rank of Eagle Scout.
The Flag Retirement Site will provide a permanent, respectful location for proper U.S. flag retirement ceremonies in accordance with tradition and protocol. The site will serve veterans, youth organizations, and the greater San Leon community for years to come.
Upon completion, the Flag Retirement Site will be dedicated to the memory of Mr. Phillip "Buddy" Cone, in honor of his service, character, and lasting impact on our community.
