We're excited about San Leandro Unified School District's implementation of reusable food trays and utensils at Madison, Roosevelt, Monroe, and Jefferson Elementary Schools. Our Schools Subcommittee lead Ben Schleifer was instrumental in supporting SLUSD's implementation of reusable food service. We partnered with not only the school district, but StopWaste Alameda County Industries (ACI) and Abbe and Associates.

We are looking forward to less waste from the youth of San Leandro and want to encourage them to influence their parents to participate in more reuse! Amazing work San Leandro!

Teresa runs Race to Zero Waste who is a member of our Reusable Alameda County coalition. We are so proud of the work Teresa is doing. And you should too. Her efforts are to help make your environment, healthier, and cleaner for you and your family by reducing toxic materials. Such as single use plastic.
Congratulations Teresa from the teams at Reusable Alameda county !!!!

Congratulations to our own CEO & Founder, Teresa Bradley! She is the first ever to receive the Board Director of the Year Award from the National Recycling Coalition, presented by Charles Kamenides, Executive Director, NRC.

Teresa was absolutely surprised and delighted to have been given this recognition at this year’s National Recycling Congress in Wichita, KS. True to our community's passion and purpose for Zero Waste, Techwears designed and made the award from repurposed circuit boards.

We're so proud of Teresa for her service to the NRC. Well done.

🎃 A REAL-LIFE HORROR STORY… LURKING INSIDE US 👻
Think haunted houses are scary? Try plastic in your blood, lungs, and organs.

Step into Halloween with a chilling film screening of We’re All Plastic People Now — a terrifyingly true look at how microplastics are invading our bodies and threatening our health. This isn’t science fiction. It’s happening now.

After the film, a panel of local leaders will lead a powerful conversation on reuse as the antidote to this plastic nightmare. Then, we take action together — signing postcards to legislators demanding investment in reuse systems and an end to toxic single-use habits.
