Raised Garden Bed & Drip Irrigation
Saturday - October 10, 2026
9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
FREE Program!

Location: Outdoors at the South Texas Master Gardener Educational Garden, 509 E. Earling Road in San Juan, TX 78589

You will:
Learn how to build a raised garden bed and install the drip irrigation.
Bring your work/garden gloves for some hands-on activities.
Dress accordingly for the outdoors and task at hand.

A big thank you to American Forest for hosting us at Marinoff Nursery! 🌳

Our Texas Master Gardener trainees had a wonderful time learning about the important conservation work happening right here in the Rio Grande Valley. Alongside our sister chapter from Cameron County, our trainees got a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication and hard work that goes into protecting and restoring our native landscapes.

They gained hands-on insight into native seed collection, processing, propagation, and planting, while learning how these efforts help restore native habitats and provide essential food and shelter for the wildlife that call the Rio Grande Valley home.

It was a great opportunity to connect gardening with conservation and see firsthand how growing native plants can make a meaningful difference for our local ecosystems. Thank you, American Forest, for sharing your knowledge and passion with our future Master Gardeners! 💚
