Thank you once again to everyone who joined us last month for our NO ICE Run/Walk. It was so heartwarming, empowering and amazing to see so many people join us from different walks of life. Now more than ever we need to come together and stand in solidarity against fascism.

Tomorrow! FUERA ICE!! ❌🧊 No city is safe while violent ICE agents run in our streets, tearing our community apart!

The RGV is one of the hardest-hit regions by ICE kidnappings. Every day, families and friends are torn apart and taken from their homes, churches, workplaces, or even just while they’re driving or doing a casual errand.

Join us on Tuesday, 8/18 for a 5k run/ride/walk route that spells out “NO ICE”.

Thank you everyone who showed up to our NO ICE run route in McAllen. It was a hot humid morning, but it was great to see folks turn out to run/walk to show our 956 values of community and solidarity.

Now what? Here are a few things you can do next:

✉️ go to La Unión del Pueblo Entero’s postcard writing event on Sat 8/15 in Edinburg TheCaffeineLibrary to advocate for a pathway to citizenship for millions of people

☎️ volunteer and join local groups like RGV Rapid Response Network - RGV RRN, DSA Rio Grande Valley, Border Workers United

🏃🏻 live in the lower valley? Join our next NO ICE run in Brownsville on Tuesday 8/18 at 7:30pm starting at Washington Park!

🫂 and always, solidarity starts with people closest to you. Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors and lend a hand when you can to support one another
