The 5th Annual West Coast Film Festival-initially scheduled for September 4 through September 10-has been postponed due to serious health conditions of West Coast Film Festival president Stephanie Heredia’s family. As soon as the new dates are established, festival organizers will make an announcement. Stephanie Heredia and Robert Kline greatly appreciate and thank the San Juan Capistrano community and West Coast Film Festival enthusiasts for their involvement.

-- Imagine filming in 1865! President Abraham Lincoln's iconic portrait was photographed by Alexander Gardner 150 years ago today. "The cracked plate image, capturing Lincoln at this moment, is part of the process by which Lincoln was transformed, after the assassination, from historical figure to mythological presence in America."

On Feb. 5, 1865, Alexander Gardner photographed Abraham Lincoln in his Washington, DC studio. The result: one of the eeriest portraits ever produced of a president.
