Pedaling, racing, laughing, and making the most of summer! ☀️🚲🌊

OCB participants took on a day of new adventures with Surrey bikes and Aqua Cycles! From racing friends on the bikes to taking their fun out on the water, everyone had the chance to try something new, step outside their comfort zone, and experience activities they may not get to do every day.

Our participants continue to build valuable vocational skills while making a meaningful impact in their community. 🤍

Through hands-on opportunities, they get to:
🌱 Garden and care for local parks and spaces
🥫 Organize food donations at local food banks
👕 Sort and organize clothing donations
🥗 Deliver nutritious meals to seniors

Each experience provides an opportunity to learn new skills, take on responsibility, connect with others, and give back to the community. ✨

From start to finish, participants have the opportunity to build vocational, financial, and life skills through every step of the process:

🛍️ Picking out fabrics at the store
💳 Practicing financial skills at checkout
✂️ Measuring and cutting fabric
🧵 Sewing each bandana together
🪄 Ironing and preparing each finished piece
🐾 Selling their handmade creations at the Farmakis Farmers Market every Friday

Each step helps participants build confidence, independence, and valuable life skills while creating something they’re proud of ✨
