Family Supportive Housing is one of 3 shelters ๐Ÿ  where our AL of San Jose volunteers offer services for our communities in need.๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

"Planting a Garden" ๐Ÿช๐Ÿชด is one of 4 enrichment programs that we provide to .

The attending families learn about the life cycle from seedling ๐ŸŒฑ to full plant ๐Ÿชดby listening to a story ๐Ÿ“– with wonderful photos and 2 fun activities sequencing the photos.

The children excitedly plant seeds in a starter cup to keep in their home window watch the life cycle in action. ๐ŸŒฑ-๐ŸŒฟ-๐ŸŽ

The day ends up with the children planting vegetable ๐Ÿฅ— and flower ๐ŸŒผ plants in a large planter box. They love digging ๐Ÿชthe holes, watering the plants and getting their hands dirty.

What pride they feel when watching their plants grow ๐Ÿซ› and eating their products.๐Ÿฅ—

๐Ÿ“š is our partner for one of our programs, Readers Are Leaders. ๐Ÿ“– They assist us with book selection and with tips on how to read to 2nd and 3rd graders. ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ At our last meeting of the year, two representatives from the library spoke about our partnership ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿฝ and about other exciting programs that the library sponsors in San Jose.

The potluck lunch ๐Ÿฅ™๐Ÿฅ— was a treat, and we also acknowledged some of our newer members. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉ
We even managed to do some business! ๐Ÿ“Š
