Caregivers give so much of themselves to the people they love—but who is caring for the caregiver? 💙

In this clip from Meghan’s Place: Conversations on Healing, Kassandra Flores shares an important reminder: we cannot continue pouring from an empty cup. Caring for others does not mean ignoring your own needs, emotions, or well-being.

If you are experiencing caregiver fatigue, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling to carry everything on your own, support is available. You deserve space to rest, process, and receive care too.

📞 If you are struggling, call Advent Group Ministries at (408) 281-0708 to learn more about our counseling services and how we may be able to support you.

You don’t have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for help. 🤍

Many people think therapy is only for moments of crisis—but counseling can be a valuable space for support, growth, and healing at any stage of life.

Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed. Maybe you’re navigating a transition, struggling in a relationship, carrying stress, or simply wanting to better understand yourself. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Your first therapy session is simply the beginning of a conversation. It’s a chance to meet your counselor, share what’s been going on, and explore what support might look like for you.

Taking care of your mental health is not something you have to earn by reaching a breaking point.

If you’ve been thinking about counseling, consider this your reminder: you can reach out today. 🤍

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated, partnered with us, and helped make our Picnic in the Park: Day of Hope such a meaningful day! 🌿💛

It was wonderful to come together as a community, reconnect with familiar faces, welcome new friends, and celebrate the hope and healing that grow through connection.

We are so grateful for every person and organization who helped bring this event to life. Your support made the day truly special, and we’re honored to continue building a stronger, more connected community together.

Together, we build hope. Together, we build community. 🌸

Going through a difficult season can feel isolating — but support doesn’t always have to come in big gestures. Sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can do is listen, show up, and remind someone they don’t have to face challenges alone.

If someone you care about is struggling, small moments of compassion can make a lasting impact. 💙

Stress is a normal part of life—but when stress becomes constant, it can begin to impact your emotional, physical, and mental well-being.

Burnout doesn’t happen overnight. It often builds slowly through ongoing exhaustion, difficulty focusing, changes in mood, feeling disconnected, or trouble sleeping.

Taking a moment to recognize these signs is an important step toward caring for yourself. You don’t have to wait until you’re completely overwhelmed to seek support.

💙 If you’re noticing signs of burnout, consider reaching out to someone you trust or a mental health professional. Support is available, and healing begins with taking that first step.

Healing is not about erasing what happened or pretending the hurt never existed. It’s about finding strength, support, and new ways to move forward.

Healing looks different for everyone. For some, it may mean learning to trust again. For others, it may mean setting boundaries, finding peace, asking for help, or simply taking one small step at a time.

There is no timeline for healing, and there is no “right” way to heal. What matters is that you don’t have to walk that journey alone. 💙

🧠 Mental Health Myth vs. Fact

Myth: Therapy is only for people in crisis.

Fact: Therapy is for anyone who wants to strengthen their mental and emotional well-being—not just those experiencing a crisis.

Counseling can help you build resilience, improve relationships, navigate life transitions, manage everyday stress, and develop healthy coping skills. Just as we care for our physical health before problems become serious, caring for our mental health can be just as important.

Seeking support isn't a sign that something is wrong—it's a sign that you're investing in yourself.

At Advent Group Ministries, we're committed to providing compassionate, professional counseling services for youth, families, and individuals from all backgrounds. Wherever you are on your journey, you don't have to walk it alone.

💙 Have you ever believed this myth? Share another mental health myth you've heard in the comments.
