Latino Business Action Network-LBAN LBAN is a dynamic Silicon Valley-based nonprofit with a big mission to strengthen the U.S. economy by empowering Latino entrepreneurship across the country.

We are a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization with a national reach. Without the rapid creation of new businesses by Latinos in the last five years, the total number of businesses in the country would have suffered a decline. As U.S. Latino businesses continue to grow to the average size of a business in the U.S., it would add $1.1 trillion to the U.S. economy. We believe entrepreneurship is a key driver for economic growth.

LBAN collaborates with the Stanford Graduate School of Business and leverages world-class expertise in management education to support this growing entrepreneurship opportunity. We drive impact through three strategic pillars:
Foundational research on Latino Entrepreneurship across the U.S. in collaboration with Stanford to understand the landscape. Transformational Business Programs at Stanford for business owners, equipping them with the access, knowledge, and networks to scale their businesses. Between 2017 and 2023, the number of Latino-owned businesses in the United States grew 44%, while the number of non-Latino owned businesses declined by 3%. These figures tell a powerful story about the role Latino entrepreneurs play in driving business growth and shaping the U.S. economy.

Today, there are more than 5.8 million Latino-owned businesses generating over $800 billion in combined annual revenue. Behind these numbers are entrepreneurs who have taken risks, created jobs, and opened doors for their communities, often while facing significant barriers to capital, networks, and opportunities.

Latino entrepreneurs are not just participating in the U.S. economy. They are helping drive it forward.

This Latino Heritage Month, we celebrate the entrepreneurs behind these numbers, their contributions, and the opportunities they continue to create.
